The Legal Affairs Center is a professional legal consultant under direct
supervision of Shandong Committee of China Council for Promotion of International
Trade, boasting of top-notch professionals and cooperation with several
business associations, legal institutions and lawyer’s offices home
and abroad.
The Legal Affairs Consultation Center, with high sense of
responsibility and great importance attached to efficiency and quality
of services provided, has been providing all kinds of legal consultation
services to its members, export-oriented enterprises and social groups:
acting as their permanent or designated legal service consultant;
handling non-court cases; acting on behalf of clients to handle
mediation, initiation of court cases and arbitration; providing foreign
business investigation and debt collection; as well as providing legal
services to foreign parties relating to their joint investment,
cooperation and negotiations.

Mediation Center of CCPIT

outstanding features such as efficiency, confidentiality and
flexibility, and friendly-negotiations, as well as being cost-effective,
mediation, as a supplement to court and arbitration to solve disputes,
has been more and more popular and widely applied in the world.
Shandong Mediation
Center of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade
(hereinafter refers to Shandong Mediation Center)(with a branch office
in Qingdao) is a permanent and professional business disputes mediation
institution in Shandong set up in 1993 with approval from Shandong
Provincial Government and National Office of China Council for Promotion
of International Trade, the duties and responsibilities of which is to
independently help parties in disputes to sort out international
business and trade disputes or disputes relating to investment and
cooperation in the mode of mediation and in the principle of
impartiality and fairness.
The mediation is
held in the following manners: in respect for the intentions of the
parties in disputes and contract obligations; in accordance to the laws
and international common practices; and in the manner of impartiality
and fairness, to promote the mutual understanding of the parties
involved to reach agreement and to safeguard the cooperation and future
benefits of them.
The Mediation Center
handles cases in which the parties involved have mediation clauses;
where there are no mediation clauses stated, the center handles the case
when one party submits an application and after approval of the other
party/parties involved.
Shandong
Office of CIETAC
China International
Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (with an English acronym of
CIETAC) is one of the major permanent arbitration institutions in the
world for business and trade disputes, set up in April 1956 and attached
to China Council for Promotion of International Trade.
After 50 years of
consistent hard-working and being one of the busiest arbitration
institutions in the world, CIETAC has helped to the formulate the
Arbitration Law in China and made great contributions to the development
of arbitration sector in China, boasting of its independence,
impartiality and efficiency home and abroad.
The Shandong Office
of CIETAC was established in April 2004 with a liaison office in Qingdao,
both of which are under direct supervision of the arbitration
commission.
Shandong Office and
its Qingdao liaison office, in the principle of efficiency, quality and
impartiality, provide necessary and relevant services to the parties
involved in business and trade disputes handled by the CIETAC.
